Thank you to Maureen of Sweet Meadow Farms!

During the year of 2011, I was Blessed to receive a free pattern (of my choice) from Maureen of Sweet Meadow Farms. Each month, I would send my request to her and sometimes it was an epattern and other months it was a paper pattern. I never had to pay Maureen for any of the patterns (or postage)...they were free of charge. WOW!

I won a drawing for a free pattern for 12 months and I thoroughly enjoyed the patterns and the interaction with her.

Thank you, Maureen! You are the BEST!!!

Thank you to Denise of KKL Primitives!!

I have been "locked out" of my blog for the last few weeks and I want to say a huge "Thank you" to Denise of KKL Primitives. I have no clue what I did wrong! I am a computer class "dropout"!!

Denise helped me several years ago to get my blog up and running.

I sent her an email yesterday, asking for her help, and she was able to get me back into my blog, so I could update my background (I will do that this weekend), post to my blog, leave a comment on other blogs, etc. Denise is so knowledgeable and such a sweetheart.

Thank you, thank you Denise for your help!

Are your Facebook pages secure?

It was brought to my attention by a very good friend, that Facebook has changed the URL settings. Thanks, Rose G!!

Facebook has changed and said nothing (again). Take a look at your URL (top box on your screen.) If you see "http" or just "www", instead of "https", you DO NOT have a secure session & can be hacked. Go to Account Settings - Click Security on the left top corner - click Edit next to Secure Browsing, Check the box, click Save. FB has automatically set it on the non-secure setting! Do everyone a huge favor, copy & re-post.

Hope that this will help someone in the future!

Hold Fast to Your Faith in God

Happy Friday to everyone. Wild fires have cropped up across Oklahoma today...burning lots of homes, farms and acres of land. We need more rain...soon!

We are so Blessed compared to the people in Japan with the earthquake/tsunami that hit early this morning.

This post is great! Hope that you receive a Blessing from it.

Hold fast to your faith in God.
You're not being promised
days filled with sunshine
or no pain,
but in Him you'll find some peace
to get through each day.

Questions will come to mind...
Why me?
What did I do wrong?

It is good to search for the answers,
but admit your mistakes
and get on with life.

It's not easy,
so take one day at a time.

Brighter days will come;
It's just a matter of time.

You're not alone;
there are many who feel as you do.

It's your faith that
will pull you through.

From Whence Shall My Help Come?

Happy Thursday to everyone. Sun is shining in Oklahoma and it is supposed to be a warm day. Hope that you will have a nice one in your town too!

Today's post is one of my favorite passages from Psalms.

"I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From whence shall my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who keeps you will not slumber...

The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun will not smite you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The Lord will protect you from all evil,
He will keep your soul.
The Lord will guard your going out
and your coming in
From this time forth and forever."

May I seek to live this day quietly.....

Happy Wednesday to everyone! Sun is shining here and beautiful weather is in the forecast. Of course, with Oklahoma weather...that can change quickly.

Today's excerpt from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration" is another good one. I have liked all of them so much! Hope that you have been Blessed by reading them also.

May I seek to live this day
quietly, easily,
leaning on God's mighty strength
trustfully, restfully,
meeting others in the path
peacefully, joyously,
waiting for God's will unfolding
patiently, serenely,
facing what tomorrow brings
confidently, courageously.

God Is In Our Hearts...

Happy Tuesday to everyone! Raining today...wonderful "liquid refreshment" that we desperately needed! Thank you, Jesus! Many parts of the country didn't need rain, but Oklahoma did.

God Is in Our Hearts to See Us Through Each Day

No matter what your needs may be
you can depend upon
the divine Power within
to uplift, to bless,
and to strengthen you,
so that you in turn may uplift,
bless and strengthen others.
You can depend upon this Power
to give you courage to meet with poise,
confidence and peace of mind
each situation which this day
may present.

Prayer is so simple...

Happy Monday to all! Sun is shining in Oklahoma (most of the state anyway) and the wind is blowing strong. Weatherman says highs in the 50-60 range today, but cooler because of the wind. Maybe some rain tomorrow...we need it very bad!

Today's posting from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration".

Prayer is so simple.
It is like quietly opening a door
And slipping into
The very presence of God.
There, in the stillness,
To listen for His voice,
Perhaps in petition
Or only to listen,
It matters not.
Just to be there,
In His presence,
Is prayer.

Than this world dreams of.

Everywhere God Will Come to Meet You

Happy Saturday to all! Hope you are warm where you live...it is cold in Oklahoma. We have been spoiled lately with beautiful/warm weather. Come quickly, spring!!

Today's post from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration"...another good one...read it twice.

To be capable of knowing God, and to wish and hope to know Him, is the road which leads straight to the Good; and it is an easy road to travel.

Everywhere God will come to meet you, everywhere He will appear to you, at places and times at which you look not for it, in your waking hours and in your sleep, when you are journeying by water and by land, in the nighttime and in the daytime, when you are speaking and when you are silent; for there is nothing which is not God.

God is always whispering to us....

Happy Friday to all! It is cold in Oklahoma, just like the weatherman said it would be today. The north wind is back and howling pretty good.

Todays post from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration" is really good. We need to stop and listen!

There is hardly ever a complete silence in our soul.

God is whispering to us well-nigh incessantly.

Whenever the sounds of the world die out in the soul, or sink low, then we hear these whisperings of God.

He is always whispering to us, only we do not always hear, because of the noise, hurry and distraction which life causes as it rushes on.

May God Bless You.....

Another beautiful day in Oklahoma, but the weatherman says that will change tomorrow...colder temperatures, north wind blowing and possible snow. Oklahoma is known for having their all time highest snow accumulations in March...so it should be an interesting March!

Today's excerpt from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration" is another good one. I don't know about you, but each of the poems/scriptures have been a Blessing to me.

May God Bless you with good health
and close friends every day the whole year
through. May God protect you and look
after the loved ones around you. May God
love you and always be near, wherever you go.

You Can Do Anything if You Believe

Beautiful weather in Oklahoma today...wonder how long it will last? That is one thing about Oklahoma's weather...wait 5 minutes and it will change!

Today's post is super and reminds me to always BELIEVE.

("Creeds of Faith and Inspiration, a collection of poems/scripture edited by Robin Andrews).

You Can Do Anything if You Believe

You can do anything if you believe.
If you take God's hand,
then you will receive.

Pure peace and calm
and love He will supply-
courage and patience
you cannot deny.

See yourself perfect and whole
every day;
don't let the negatives
stand in your way.

With the faith of a child,
you can honestly know
the opportunity is yours
to strengthen and grow.

Believe every second
that you always have hope,
strength to endure,
and ability to cope.

But far beyond this,
you'll find peace of mind;
if you trust in the Lord,
the answers you'll find.

Believe you can do anything;
let it always be true,
and the best things in life
will be open to you.

Faith is to believe what we do not see......

Happy March 1st to everyone! It looks like spring may be here soon. I am happy about that, but not happy about the thunderstorms, hail and tornadoes that come with the season. Although, in Oklahoma...tornadoes can (and have) arrived during any month of the year.

Today's post is short but very powerful! Since it isn't long, read it at least twice...maybe more. You will be glad that you did.

Faith is to believe what we do not see;
and the reward of this faith
is to see what we believe.

-St. Augustine

Ask and it shall be given you;
seek and ye shall find;
knock and it shall be opened unto you.

You Can Be Perfect...Part Two...I goofed!!

I was in a hurry on Saturday when I posted, "You Can Be Perfect in Life by Living your Life with Love". I left out two paragraphs, so I will start over again...from the beginning! Sorry for the error...that is what I get for hurrying!

You Can Be Perfect in God's Eyes by Living Your Life with Love

Perfection is not gained
by doing some great thing well,
but by doing well
the simple tasks of life.
Perfection is not gained
by thinking some great truth,
but by living the simplicity of Truth
in daily life.

Everything which will ever come
into your life
affords you the opportunity to see
and be perfection.
Even the most simple task,
done with humility and love,
can be performed as a gift to your God.

Don't wait to be perfect.
You are perfect when you live your life
as love in action.
May the perfection which is God
be expressed by you today.

Winter in Oklahoma has returned today!

It has turned winter in Oklahoma again! North wind is howling and it has been snowing lately off and on. Now, it is just really cold and the north wind is still strong.

Other parts of the state have had rain and thunderstorms...so I better be happy with the north wind howling. We definitely need rain though.

Today's post from the "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration" book. Hope you receive a Blessing from it.

This life is yours.
Take the power
to choose what you want to do
and do it well.
Take the power
to love what you want in life
and love it honestly.
Take the power
to walk in the forest
and be a part of nature.
Take the power
to control your own life.
No one else can do it for you.
Take the power
to make your life
healthy
exciting
worthwhile
and very happy.

What has happened before in our lives is all passed...

Another wonderful poem today from "Creeds of Faith and Inspriration".

What has happened
before in our lives
is all passed;
what we have been
and what we have done
belong to yesterday.

What we are
and what we can be-
with God's help-
is our today.

Happy President's Day to all! Hope you are enjoying your day today and the weather is not giving you too much trouble! It is colder (in the 40's) in Oklahoma today...we got spoiled by our week of 60-70's last week!

Today's post from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration", a collection of poems/scriptures edited by Robin Andrews.

God grant me the strength
to reach out for my dreams
and see the world

God Will Be There for You...encouragement for all of us

I have received one comment about my posts from the wonderful book "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration", a collection of poems Edited by Robin Andrews. I am praying that the poems/scripture will give you hope to cope with any problems that you are dealing with. The poem today is especially good! Why not read it again?? You will be glad that you did.

"God Will Be There for You"

Some of the best advice
a person can share
with someone they care about
is this...

"God will be there for you."

If you need to lean on someone,
there is no greater strength.
If you need to move away from
difficulty and move towards resolve,
there is no greater direction to go in.
If you wish to walk with happiness,
there is no greater traveling companion.

Follow your heart when it tells you
to believe, because there is no end
to the blessings
you can receive.

"God will be there for you".

WOW...God's Blessings Are Ours to Cherish

Please take the time to read this poem twice...it is really good! Poem was copied from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration", A collection of poems/scripture that has been Edited by Robin Andrews.

God's Blessings are Our to Cherish

There is so much to be thankful for
in this world--
the love of our family,
a warm home, good friends,
our health and happiness,
the beauty that surrounds us.

Yet when things aren't going our way,
when sorrow enters our lives
or dreams seem out of reach,
we too quickly forget how fortunate
we really are.

When difficulties occur,
we must learn to rise above the
feelings of sadness and despair.
We must accept the wisdom of God's plan
and go on with our lives,
grateful for His many blessings,
secure in His love.

A Blessing Asked Especially for You

A Blessing Asked Especially for You

Here is today's poem...I pray that you receive a Blessing from reading it.

From the book "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration, a collection of poems Edited by Robin Andrews.

I pray that
God will guide you
in your decision;
that He will quiet you
amid the world's confusion;
and that He will comfort you
and carry you
over the times when you feel
that you cannot make it alone.

And I pray that He will
always let me be
there beside you
to let you know...
that wherever
our hearts may be,
you may feel safe
and loved
and at home.

You Can Always Look to God

Another poem from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration" which is a collection of poems and scripture edited by Robin Andrews.

If the day ahead
seems to be full of trouble,
and there are too many things
that you don't understand,
look to God.
He will show you there is
no trouble or confusion
that He cannot help you overcome.
He will be your comfort
through every storm
and surround you with His love
when you are feeling most alone.

If you feel so confused
that you're not sure
you'll ever be able
to straighten things out,
look to God.
He will calm your mind
and ease your fears.
He will strengthen
your faith and courage,
and He will help you
hold on until tomorrow
when the day ahead
will dawn with new hope
and promises of happiness.

God Grant Me the Serenity.......

Today's post from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration", a collection of poems and scripture edited by Robin Andrews. I have used this prayer before, but it is next in line, so I am going to repeat it. It is such a great prayer and one that we all need to memorize and say often.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change;
the courage to change
the things I can;
and the wisdom
to know the difference.

There Is So Much to Be Thankful For

Next in the book, "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration", a collection of poems Edited by Robin Andrews. This is a long post...but the words in the poem are so good! Please read it all.

We don't often
take the time out of
our busy lives
to think about all
the beautiful things
and to be thankful for them.
If we did
reflect on these things
we would realize how very
lucky and fortunate we really are.

I am very thankful
for the love of my husband --
which is so complete and fulfilling
and is based on honesty, equality
intellectualism and romance.

I am very thankful
for the love of my children --
which is all encompassing
and is based on teaching, tenderness
sensitivity, caring and hugging.

I am very thankful
that I am able to love
and that the love is returned to me.

I am very thankful
that I am healthy
and that the people I love
are healthy.

I am very thankful
that I have dreams to follow
and goals to strive for.

I am very thankful
for the beauty of nature --
magnificent mountains
the colorful leaves
the smell of the flowers
the roaring of the waves
the setting sun
the rising moon.

Everywhere I look
I see the wonders of nature
and I feel so proud
to be a small part of it.
I am very thankful
for all the good people in the world
I am very thankful
that I have good friends.

I am very thankful
to be alive
in a time when
we can make the world
a better place
to live in.

Always Pray for the Best, and Live One Day at a Time

Fourth post from the book "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration", a collection of poems and scriptures edited by Robin Andrews.

Always Pray for the Best,
and Live One Day at a Time

We cannot change the past;
we just need to keep
the good memories
and acquire wisdom
from the mistakes we've made.
We cannot predict the future;
we just need to hope and pray
for the best and what is right,
and believe that's how it will be.
We can live a Day at a time,
enjoying the present
and always seeking to become
a more loving and better person.

God is Always There for You

This is the 3rd post from a super book titled "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration"...a collection of poems and scripture...edited by Robin Andrews. I hope and pray that you will receive a Blessing from this post and the fact that we are never alone...will lighten any burdens you might have today.

God is Always There for You

In living this life,
you may find obstacles
that cannot be surpassed,
and you may find problems that
cannot be conquered alone.

Remember...
while you're shouldering
the burdens and enduring the
trials and tribulations...
you're never alone.

Even on the darkest nights,
you have a caring arm around you.
It is when all is dark that
God's most loving light
is shed into your soul.

You never walk alone.

God is always there
to give you a reason
to go on.

Wow...have we got snow!!!

My town got 12-15 inches of snow last night. I know from other blogs, that 12-15 inches is not alot of snow...however, for Oklahoma...we got hammered!! Two foot drifts outside my front door and three foot drifts in front of the garage doors. Other parts of the state got 24+++ inches, so I guess I shouldn't complain! lol! It has stopped snowing, the sun is out, but the wind chill is 15 degrees below, so I will stay in the house and craft! Doesn't look like I will be going anywhere for several days.

Thank you, Jesus for electricity, heat, running water and so many more Blessings that you give me.

Anything is Possible Because of God

This is my second day to share with you from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration". This book is a collection of poems and scripture that has been edited by Robin Andrews.

Anything is Possible Because of God

It is God who enables you to smile in spite of tears;
to carry on when you feel like giving in;
to love even though your heart has been broken time and time again;
to sit calmly when you feel like throwing up your hands in frustration;
to be understanding when nothing seems to make sense;
to listen when you'd really rather not hear;
to share your feelings with others,
because sharing is necessary to ease the load.

Anything is possible, because God makes it so.

Creeds of Faith & Inspiration...collection of scripture and poems

Have you ever had a great book that you read, put it aside and forgot about it? That is what happened with the book titled above. I don't know how long I have had this book, but it has been a number of years. It is a collection of poems and scripture that has been Edited by Robin Andrews.

Recently, while I was packing up to move to our new home, I "found" the book again and put it in the box to move to our new home. I picked the book up last night and was very happy to read it again. It was so inspiring to be reminded about God's love for us and how much we have to be thankful for.

I have been wanting to update my blog daily, but there are days that my life just isn't that interesting and I don't have much newsworthy information. As I was reading this collection last night, I thought it would be great to share these inspiring scriptures and poems with my blogging friends. I hope that you will enjoy them as much as I have.

I will start with a short prayer/poem (although very famous), since I have taken so long to explain about the book!

The Serenity Prayer

God grand me the serentity to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Dollar General Store Christmas markdowns.....$.25 each!!!

I made a fast trip to one of our local Dollar General stores and they had Christmas markdowns for $.25 each. I found a great "Joy" and "Peace" pillow...for $.25 cents! Nothing wrong with the pillows either! I can use the pillows as they are now, or use the pillow forms inside for stuffing my prim stitch pillows.

They had all of their remaining Christmas evergreen wreaths, christmas stockings, ornaments, etc. for $.25 cents. Great time to stock up for next year for additions to Christmas projects, fillers, etc.
