God Grant Me the Serenity.......

Today's post from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration", a collection of poems and scripture edited by Robin Andrews. I have used this prayer before, but it is next in line, so I am going to repeat it. It is such a great prayer and one that we all need to memorize and say often.

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change;
the courage to change
the things I can;
and the wisdom
to know the difference.

There Is So Much to Be Thankful For

Next in the book, "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration", a collection of poems Edited by Robin Andrews. This is a long post...but the words in the poem are so good! Please read it all.

We don't often
take the time out of
our busy lives
to think about all
the beautiful things
and to be thankful for them.
If we did
reflect on these things
we would realize how very
lucky and fortunate we really are.

I am very thankful
for the love of my husband --
which is so complete and fulfilling
and is based on honesty, equality
intellectualism and romance.

I am very thankful
for the love of my children --
which is all encompassing
and is based on teaching, tenderness
sensitivity, caring and hugging.

I am very thankful
that I am able to love
and that the love is returned to me.

I am very thankful
that I am healthy
and that the people I love
are healthy.

I am very thankful
that I have dreams to follow
and goals to strive for.

I am very thankful
for the beauty of nature --
magnificent mountains
the colorful leaves
the smell of the flowers
the roaring of the waves
the setting sun
the rising moon.

Everywhere I look
I see the wonders of nature
and I feel so proud
to be a small part of it.
I am very thankful
for all the good people in the world
I am very thankful
that I have good friends.

I am very thankful
to be alive
in a time when
we can make the world
a better place
to live in.

Always Pray for the Best, and Live One Day at a Time

Fourth post from the book "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration", a collection of poems and scriptures edited by Robin Andrews.

Always Pray for the Best,
and Live One Day at a Time

We cannot change the past;
we just need to keep
the good memories
and acquire wisdom
from the mistakes we've made.
We cannot predict the future;
we just need to hope and pray
for the best and what is right,
and believe that's how it will be.
We can live a Day at a time,
enjoying the present
and always seeking to become
a more loving and better person.

God is Always There for You

This is the 3rd post from a super book titled "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration"...a collection of poems and scripture...edited by Robin Andrews. I hope and pray that you will receive a Blessing from this post and the fact that we are never alone...will lighten any burdens you might have today.

God is Always There for You

In living this life,
you may find obstacles
that cannot be surpassed,
and you may find problems that
cannot be conquered alone.

Remember...
while you're shouldering
the burdens and enduring the
trials and tribulations...
you're never alone.

Even on the darkest nights,
you have a caring arm around you.
It is when all is dark that
God's most loving light
is shed into your soul.

You never walk alone.

God is always there
to give you a reason
to go on.

Wow...have we got snow!!!

My town got 12-15 inches of snow last night. I know from other blogs, that 12-15 inches is not alot of snow...however, for Oklahoma...we got hammered!! Two foot drifts outside my front door and three foot drifts in front of the garage doors. Other parts of the state got 24+++ inches, so I guess I shouldn't complain! lol! It has stopped snowing, the sun is out, but the wind chill is 15 degrees below, so I will stay in the house and craft! Doesn't look like I will be going anywhere for several days.

Thank you, Jesus for electricity, heat, running water and so many more Blessings that you give me.

Anything is Possible Because of God

This is my second day to share with you from "Creeds of Faith and Inspiration". This book is a collection of poems and scripture that has been edited by Robin Andrews.

Anything is Possible Because of God

It is God who enables you to smile in spite of tears;
to carry on when you feel like giving in;
to love even though your heart has been broken time and time again;
to sit calmly when you feel like throwing up your hands in frustration;
to be understanding when nothing seems to make sense;
to listen when you'd really rather not hear;
to share your feelings with others,
because sharing is necessary to ease the load.

Anything is possible, because God makes it so.

Creeds of Faith & Inspiration...collection of scripture and poems

Have you ever had a great book that you read, put it aside and forgot about it? That is what happened with the book titled above. I don't know how long I have had this book, but it has been a number of years. It is a collection of poems and scripture that has been Edited by Robin Andrews.

Recently, while I was packing up to move to our new home, I "found" the book again and put it in the box to move to our new home. I picked the book up last night and was very happy to read it again. It was so inspiring to be reminded about God's love for us and how much we have to be thankful for.

I have been wanting to update my blog daily, but there are days that my life just isn't that interesting and I don't have much newsworthy information. As I was reading this collection last night, I thought it would be great to share these inspiring scriptures and poems with my blogging friends. I hope that you will enjoy them as much as I have.

I will start with a short prayer/poem (although very famous), since I have taken so long to explain about the book!

The Serenity Prayer

God grand me the serentity to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference.
